Sizing Tolerances
At CLOTHREADY, we strive to ensure the best garment fit possible and guarantee that all products are delivered within our standard size and measurement tolerances.
What is a size tolerance?
A size tolerance is the allowable limit of variation in a garment measurement. For example, our tolerance for chest width is ±2cm. This means that, for the measurement you specify in production, the finished garment may be up to 2cm smaller or 2cm larger than the ordered measurement. Such tolerances are standard in the textile industry due to the natural variability of fabrics and the effects of different production processes.
What are CLOTHREADY's standard tolerances (in cm)?
- Shoulder length: ±1.5cm
- Chest width: ±2cm
- Sleeve length: ±2cm
- Body length: ±2cm
- Neck width: ±1.2cm
- Neck depth: ±1.2cm
- Cuffs: ±1.2cm
- Armhole: ±1.5cm
- Ribs/collars: ±0.5cm
Important Note
For all garments that undergo a laundry process (such as washing, dyeing, or special finishes) or that are made with twisted yarn fabrics, the standard tolerance increases by 50%. For example, a chest width tolerance of ±2cm becomes ±3cm in these cases.
If you have custom tolerance requirements, please discuss them with our team before placing your order. We are committed to clear communication and transparency regarding measurement expectations.
